1. How can I become a member?
Upon receipt of your application forms, and subject to meeting the conditions of admission as per the by-laws, the SACCO office will process them and advise you accordingly within 10 days.
2. Can I read the KEMU SACCO by-laws?
Every Sacco member is entitled to a copy of KEMU SACCO by-laws whose content all members are expected to read and understand. Get your copy from the SACCO office, or download one here.
3. Can I guarantee any member’s loan?
You have a right to guarantee and to be guaranteed for a loan. As a guarantor, you will be required to repay any defaulted loan guaranteed by you.
4. What is the current loan interest?
Currently KEMU SACCO Long term Loans attract interest at the rate of 1% per month on reducing balance. (Interest rate subjected to change.)
5. Will I receive dividends on my savings?
All members are entitled to receive dividends and interest on their shares and savings annually as declared in the Annual General Meeting.
6. Can I attend a SACCO meeting/elections?
Members have a right to attend Annual General Meetings, members’ education meetings and to participate actively in all SACCO activities and events.
